Keeping Your Goals

By Melanie Fensick.

Do you have a goal to be more healthy and fit? Follow these steps to give you the best chance at success.

Make your goals specific: It’s easier to draw a road map when you know the address of your destination and when you have to arrive.

Learn your Why: Look inside yourself and understand why your goal is important to you.

Put it in writing: Write down your goal (and your why) and place it somewhere you can see it every day.

Tell your friends: Telling others adds accountability and support for staying on track.

Use small successes to create big results: Climbing a mountain is done by taking one step at a time.

Celebrate progress: Every step closer to your goal is a success.

Revisit your plan: Take time to reflect and create course corrections when needed

Remember, resolutions don’t have to be just for New Year’s. Strive to be better every day.
